One of the quickest ways to remove body hair is shaving, however it’s not quite as effective as waxing. Waxing pulls hair out of the root, so it takes longer to grow back. And while there are various chemical waxing products available in the market, they are not so safe because of an ingredient called calcium thioglycolate they use to strip hair. It can irritate the skin, and it doesn’t smell very nice, either.

For this very reason more and more people are tilting towards natural waxing. It’s inexpensive and it’s very effective.

How to prepare homemade wax
-Combine 2 cups of sugar, 1/4 cup and 1/4 cup water in a pot and place over low heat.

-Mix in a few drops of honey and lemon into the mixture. Keep stirring until the mixture becomes really hot. While stirring, you need to make sure that the wax has good consistency .

-If you think that the mixture is too thick, add a little water to it and keep mixing.

-Once the mixture is ready , take it off the stove and keep it at room temperature for about an hour and allow it to cool down.

-Once the wax has been cooled, take a tin container and refrigerate it.

How to apply homemade wax
-Dip a wooden stick into the warm wax. Spread the wax over your skin in the direction of hair growth.

-Cover the waxed area with a thin cloth strip. Press down on the cloth so that it sticks to your skin.

-Grasp the end of the cloth. In one quick motion, pull the cloth up and away from your skin. If some hair still remains on the waxed area, reapply the wax and repeat the process until it’s gone. Continue this process until you’ve waxed off all of the unwanted hair.

Benefits of using homemade wax
– You are not likely to develop any skin rash or infections by using homemade wax.
– It will remove the hair as well as will also moisturizes your skin.
– Homemade wax lessens the production of hair, so the next time you wax, you will realise that the hair growth has considerably reduced.
– It will exfoliate your skin and also open the pores of your skin to allow the dirt to get out.
