Truly the most pressing issue of national importance.

Barack Obama’s second term as President of the United States is drawing to a close, and he has several, oft-debated issues to address before then: global warming, gun control… and hypothetical rap feuds.

On Friday (Jan. 15), he made major strides with the latter topic during a Q&A hosted by YouTube. During a lighthearted round of pop culture questions, vlogger Adande Thorne, known on YouTube as sWooZie, posed the following question to the prez: “If Drake and Kendrick Lamar got in a rap battle, who do you think would win?”

Lamar Vs. Drake
Lamar Vs. Drake
“Gotta go with Kendrick,” the President answered, without a hint of hesitation. “I’m just saying. I think Drake is an outstanding entertainer, but Kendrick, his lyrics — his last album was outstanding. Best album, I think, last year.”
Of course, Obama’s choice shouldn’t come as a total surprise. After all, he has a history of stanning for K.Dot — just earlier this week, the Compton MC shed light on their one-on-one meeting at the White House, where they discussed how to improve inner-city communities. And Obama previously named Kendrick’s To Pimp A Butterfly track “How Much a Dollar Cost” his favorite song of 2015.

Sure, Obama’s “cover” of Drizzy and Future’s “Jumpman” stole the nation’s hearts. But when it comes down to it, do you really think the commander in chief of the United States would pick a Canadian over one of his own? Didn’t think so.

In another vital revelation from the same interview, Obama revealed that, if he had to be any character from the “Star Wars” franchise, he’d choose Han Solo.

“He’s a little bit of a rebel,” Obama explained. Can’t argue with that.
